This test should be selected if looking for ANY DNA --- male or female. Results of this test are for personal knowledge only and may not be used for legal purposes.
- Sample Item(s) should be sent using bag or envelope included. The use of a plastic bag could lead to mold growth, which degrades DNA.
- Sample should be marked in the areas that need to be tested
- Items will be cut and processed in the laboratory. Items will not be returned.
- Includes detection to indicate whether an item is positive or negative for the presence of semen; if so, we are able to proceed. If not, testing stops.
- If semen is detected, we check for the presence of ANY MALE OR FEMALE DNA
- Results from this will indicate whether there is enough usable DNA for comparison to one provided buccal swab sample (add DNA Comparison per article/item after initial two + $260.00)
- An additional DNA Detection Standard is needed if there is a second article that needs to be detected and compared (+$310.00)
- We may NOT be able to distinguish the male DNA from those of other male biological relatives
- Test includes comparing the DNA profile found on the tested item to a reference sample by buccal swab
All DNA testing services offered are performed at our partnering third-party medical laboratory testing facility located in Hollywood, FL.
This facility is certified under the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) and adheres to the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
